Motif

Motif is set to be a boutique hotel/apartment hybrid on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee where visitors can stay for one night or 90 days. The idea is that this property will function as both a place that visitors can utilize as a hotel or for an extended stay. Motif will offer 11different styles and floor plan layouts that make up around 132 rooms. They will offer high-end service and clean, comfortable, and relaxing rooms. There will be a lobby convenience shop, fitness center, workspace in the lobby, and a restaurant as well.

After developing the Motif Stylescape and establishing a brand direction, the goal of this logo was to create a logo that paid homage to music without being too literal. This logo also had to reflect the brand keywords chosen by the client– dynamic, innovative, and peaceful. The Art Deco approach to this design gave the brand a high-end and sophisticated feel while still incorporating a logo mark that references the notes and flourishes on sheet music.
