Proving Ground
Proving Ground is a coffee shop in Southern Illinois committed to the art and science of coffee roasting. Like a testing ground where ideas are put to the ultimate challenge, Proving Ground views each coffee bean as a canvas for exploration and innovation. They are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what coffee can be, continually striving to unlock its fullest potential.
The goal of this logo reimagining was to take this design back to the roots of the mission of Proving Ground, literally and metaphorically. By depicting the coffee bean plant around the perimeter of the holding shape with the finished product in the middle as well as using an organic, earthy, and cut-and-paste inspired style, this mark really starts to look like a painting on a canvas, encompassing everything Proving Ground stands for.
