The Judgement Against Birds

 

A redesign of Loren Eisley's essay titled A Judgement Against Birds that helps the essay appeal to a younger audience and makes it easier to understand through strong concept and theme. The theme of this essay is that although birds and humans exist in the same space, neither world will fully understand the other.

Graphic circle elements are used to represent the birds and visually display what the author is saying, justified and systematic type to represent humans, along with an array of type weights, the reader can begin to understand how neither world will fully interact or touch the other based on design choices alone.

Served as the sole designer on this project at Auburn University.

Selected by Auburn University faculty to be entered into the TDC66 Awards Competition.
